Dr. Maria Pruss received her DDS from Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She went on to complete a hospital based residency program at New York Presbyterian Hospital. In 2007 Dr. Pruss received her post doctoral degree in endodontics from Nova Southeastern University. She dedicates her time to Friends without a Boarder including volunteer missions to Angkor Hospital for Children in Cambodia, as well as volunteer missions to Israel and Spain. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association and New York State Dental Association.
Dr. Selma Kaplan is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After graduation from dental school, she completed a general practice residency at Cornell New York Presbyterian Hospital here in New York and then a periodontal residency at Columbia College of Dental Medicine where she received a Masters of Science in Periodontics. Dr. Kaplan was awarded The Melvin L. Morris Award for Excellence in Postdoctoral Periodontics at the completion of her periodontal residency. Dr Kaplan is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr Kaplan has had extensive training in all aspects of periodontal and implant therapy including: non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy, periodontal plastic surgery, soft tissue grafting, implant site preparation, sinus grafting, tooth extraction and implant placement. In addition to private practice in the New York area, she is a clinical instructor and part-time faculty member at Columbia. She teaches periodontics to dental students in the undergraduate dental clinic.
As a board certified Periodontist, she works together with other team members at Dental Love so patients can achieve and maintain a beautiful smile and healthier gums and teeth. All of us take the time with our patients to explain their treatment options and inform them of additional preventative care.
Dr. Robert Shick received his Bachelor degree in Biology, Asian and Middle Eastern studies and Economics from University of Pennsylvania. He earned his DMD degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Shick has completed residency programs from King's County Hospital and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He has also completed extensive aesthetic dentistry training through various programs.
As a certified Lumineers and Invisalign dentist, Dr. Shick has been committed not only to promote dental health, but also to create beautiful smiles to his patients.
As a football fan, Dr. Shick is a fanatic Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers. He is also a New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies fan. If you love football and baseball, Dr. Shick would like to meet you. Our team members speak multiple foreign languages including Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Taiwanese.
